college and after a short stint working in Connecticut, we moved to Seattle in 1990. I officially started J.A.S. Design-Build in September of 1992.
I like designing and building houses and always will. In our projects, I am in search of character and pulling out the uniqueness that the client brings to the process. I like staying loose but disciplined, and I like letting the money tell me what we should do. I have many theories, but none clearer than my one about Tupperware.
In our 20th year J.A.S. is alive and well. We have a terrific cast of characters that have stuck around and made this place a wonderful community and a great place to work. I am constantly impressed with the humor, skill and respect that I am surrounded by every day.
